Association Overview
The Chhattisgarh Rice & Brokers Association (CGRBA) is a registered society under the Chhattisgarh Societies Registration Act, operating from Raipur. The association brings together rice brokers, traders, mill owners, commission agents, warehouse operators, and transport partners who form the commercial backbone of the state's paddy and rice economy.
Chhattisgarh ranks among India's leading paddy-producing states. The trade network spans government procurement mandis, private trading yards, rice mills, and interstate movement corridors. CGRBA provides a formal platform for coordination, grievance redressal, and collective representation before the State Food Department, FCI, and mandi administrations.

1998
Founding of CGRBA
CGRBA was established when senior rice brokers and mill owners in Raipur recognised the need for a dedicated trade body — at a time when Chhattisgarh had recently become a separate state and mandi structures were still evolving.

2000s
Building Statewide Presence
The first general meeting was held at Chamber Bhawan, Pandri, with 38 founding members from Raipur, Durg, and Bilaspur. District chapters followed across Rajnandgaon, Mahasamund, Kawardha, and Jagdalpur. By 2010, membership crossed 200.

Training & Trade Services
CGRBA expanded training programmes covering GST compliance, warehouse receipt systems, and FSSAI quality standards — alongside weekly mandi rate sheets and annual trade meets connecting brokers, millers, and exporters.

The association now represents over 520 members across all 28 districts of Chhattisgarh, serving as the formal voice of the rice trade before government departments, FCI, and mandi administrations.
